Location – Oxfordshire

This is a unique opportunity for an aspiring, dynamic and determined couple to be part of a

small team that will contribute to the character of a truly remarkable estate in a glorious

country setting. Our client is offering a long-term stable role for the right couple, with immaculate accommodation provided as well as a generous salary.

Excellent salary depending on experience, with fully furnished Estate cottage provided.

Based on a 5-day week, you must be prepared to work as required when the house is

occupied. This may include some weekend working. Time off in lieu can be taken when the

clients are not in residence. Both must drive and be comfortable with dogs


General Duties

Maintenance Engineer Roles and Responsibilities
Reporting directly to the Estate Manager:

  • Develop, plan, manage and conduct routine preventative maintenance and general, basic
    property repair work, ensuring the estate remains in pristine condition
    - Plan, manage and coordinate routine external contracted maintenance
    - Provide basic maintenance support on Estate vehicles, equipment and facilities
    - Ensure service and maintenance records are completed and oversee associated Operating
    and Maintenance Manuals
    - Work collaboratively with other Estate Staff members and external contractors

Job requirements


  • Requirements:
    - Proven experience in property/equipment maintenance, preferably in a similar setting
    - Strong IT skills
    - Ability to perform various basic engineering tasks
    - Excellent organisational skills
    - Attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving
    - UK Driving License

Housekeeper Roles and Responsibilities
Reporting directly to the Estate Manager but liaising closely with family members:


- To ensure that the interior of the property is always immaculate
- Maintain and care for all contents of the residence, which includes special finishes,
furniture, art and high-end fine fabrics
- Assist with Laundry, wardrobe management and packing and unpacking during visits
- When the property is occupied, you will be responsible for provisioning, maintain bedrooms
and bathrooms, turn down service, serving food and beverages and generally taking care of
the principal and family or guests
- Preparation and serve breakfast and provide support and kitchen assistance to the Chef for
any large dinner parties or functions
- Liaise with the Head Gardener on availability of fresh produce for kitchens
- Maintain and record household budget and expenditure
- Identify and report any defect within the Main House and coordinate with the Maintenance
Manager any repair
- Oversee, manage and supervise the House Maid and work with local part time staff
- Coordinate with any travelling/temporary staff as required.

Requirements:
- Proven experience of housekeeping, preferably in a similar setting
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Excellent organisational skills
- Attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving
- UK Driving License

CANDIDATE requirements

  • Professional domestic couple, fluent in English, with exceptional eye for detail and understanding of first-class levels of service.
  • Flexible, pro-active, with a dynamic “can do” attitude.
  • The Housekeeper will be comfortable working in a family orientated environment and the Maintenance Engineer will be technically minded with impeccable record keeping.
  • Both will need to possess good communication skills and be able to work collaboratively as part of small team.
  • Experience working in a similar role or has transferable skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills.

  • Housekeeper Salary: £40k-£55k pa dependent on experience
  • Maintenance Engineer Salary: £40-£55k pa dependent on experience
