A prestigious private household is seeking a highly skilled, discreet, and professional Senior Housekeeper to lead the upkeep and daily operations of a beautifully presented estate. This is a rare opportunity to join a respectful, long-standing team within a household that values precision, calm professionalism, and exceptional attention to detail.

Working closely with the Principal, estate team, and junior staff, you will take full responsibility for maintaining the highest standards of presentation, organisation, and service throughout the home.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure all interior spaces are maintained to the highest standard

  • Oversee laundry, ironing, and complete wardrobe management (including delicate garments and seasonal rotation)

  • Manage household supplies, inventories, and occasional personal or household errands

  • Prepare simple family meals on occasion

  • Create and maintain fresh floral arrangements

  • Liaise with other household staff, contractors, and external service providers

  • Assist with light PA tasks and coordinate formal household routines

  • Welcome guests and provide refreshments as needed

  • Provide occasional care for the family’s friendly spaniel

  • Support the household during events, dinners, or gatherings when required

Package

  • Full-time role: 45–50 hours per week
    (Typical schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:30am–6:30pm, with occasional weekend flexibility)

  • Salary: £50,000–£55,000 per annum (depending on experience)

Job requirements

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in a similar Senior Housekeeping role within a high-net-worth (HNW) household

  • Exceptional eye for detail and high standards of cleanliness and organisation

  • Discreet, polished, and confident working independently or as part of a team

  • Strong multitasking and time management abilities

  • Service-focused, proactive, and flexible with a calm, professional demeanour

  • Comfortable cooking simple meals and supporting entertaining when needed

  • Confident handling high-end cleaning products and specialist materials

  • Physically fit and capable of maintaining a large home

  • Full UK driving licence required (if live-out, must be able to commute daily)
